After graduating with a Certificate in Training and Counseling from the San Francisco SPCA Academy for Dog Trainers, Gayle joined Happy-Go-Lucky in the fall of 2000, and was so quick to learn – and so great with people – that she began teaching classes in 2001. Her classes have included Puppy Kindergarten, Beginning Obedience, Puppy Intermediate, Games & Tricks and Out on the Town. She also runs her own private dog training business, Romp & ‘Rastle, to which we refer often for in-home training services.
When asked why she got into the field of dog training, she replies, “I enjoy working with different types of people, and I have always felt a special connection to dogs. Dog training has allowed me to combine these elements into a challenging and fulfilling career. It’s also nice to work in a field where jeans and a clean shirt are considered appropriate work attire!”
