Aurora started on the client side of Happy-Go-Lucky, bringing her dog Oscar to several training classes and dog daycare. She had an obvious love for dogs and a natural way with people, so we jumped at the chance to bring her on board. For more than four years now, Aurora has been assisting and co-teaching in a variety of classes at Happy-Go-Lucky.
When asked why she is involved in this field, she tells of her six years working as a veterinary technician. “During that time, I would see too many pets labeled by their owners as neurotic or destructive. These people would want a quick fix for the problem, like medication. Often, their dogs were just bored and didn’t know how to direct their daily frustrations and stress in an acceptable way. They simply needed to be mentally and physically challenged.”
